Welcome From the Executive Committee! Welcome to the first issue of the new BiGALA Newsletter! Our intent with bigala news is to keep you informed about Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual concerns for Williams students, staff, faculty, and alums.
In the past year, BiGALA has accomplished a lot. Foremost on this list of accomplishments are the printing of the BiGALA Directory for 1997, the announcement of the BiGALA Student Internship Program for undergraduates and the establishment of the BiGALA website. We are now focusing our energies on alumnae/i events in New York, Boston and San Francisco and the display of a portion of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt in Williamstown in 1998 . BiGALA has ambitious plans for our organization and we want you involved! Please contact Kyle Roberts or the Williams College Alumni Office to volunteer for one of our many projects. BiGALA's projects include planning regional events, website design and maintenance, career planning, and numerous other opportunities. The Williams alumnae/i community is very talented, and we welcome your help.
